Some links on this site are paid links, also called affiliate links. If you click one and book or buy something, I may earn a small commission. You don’t pay anything extra.
Which links are paid
Affiliate links usually lead to booking and travel services, like:
- [hotel booking platforms, e.g. Booking.com, Agoda];
- [tour and activity platforms, e.g. Klook, GetYourGuide];
- [travel insurance];
- [eSIM providers];
- [transport booking, e.g. 12Go].
Articles with paid links say so near the top, before the first link. The links themselves are marked [like this: (paid link)]. In the code, every paid link carries the rel="sponsored" attribute, as Google requires.
How this affects recommendations
I recommend places and services I’ve used or checked myself, and I write about the downsides too. If something isn’t good, it doesn’t go into an article, commission or not. I don’t accept payment for positive reviews.
When several booking platforms offer the same hotel or tour at a similar price, I may link to the one I partner with. The recommendation itself, which hotel or tour to choose, doesn’t depend on that.
Opinions, reviews and recommendations on this site are mine alone. None of the partner companies review or approve them before publication.
If a company ever pays for a dedicated article, the article will be clearly labeled as sponsored at the very beginning.
Why affiliate links exist
They pay for hosting, research and the time it takes to keep articles up to date, so the site can stay free and without banner ads.
